"Meat" Aya
Meat & Graze began as a healing journey after losing our brother, Joshua. Joshua was known for his hearty appetite—enjoying up to 13 egg sandwiches or 5 bowls of rice in one sitting! Much like his appetite, his zest for life & companionship was insatiable. In the wake of his loss, finding solace in simple pleasures became essential. And crafting cheeseboards became that soothing ritual. Sparking a renewed purpose & inspiring us to facilitate memorable connections through our Cheeseperiences.
Every Cheeseperience is a celebration, carrying echoes of our journey. The rich, dark chocolate is a tribute to Joshua’s incredible complexion, while the fragrant rosemary symbolizes the herb of remembrance. Our name itself, represents one our family’s core values — the act of coming together, “meat—ing” and fellowshipping with friends; while the initials “MG” are an homage to the matriarch of our family.
We are humbled that Meat & Graze has become a part of so many cherished moments over the last six years and we look forward to each new opportunity with gratitude. We are excited for the future of local businesses in Durham and hope we are fortunate enough to be apart of the story for a long time to come. Thank you, Bull City! 🐂
